We are blessed with some of the most famous roads in the world: Mulholland Drive, Melrose Avenue, Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive and Hollywood Boulevard. However, the downside to being in such a magical place is that our streets are often congested and dangerous, which unfortunately took the life of one local in a South Los Angeles car crash.
The motor vehicle accident
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the two-vehicle motor vehicle accident occurred at the 1098 block on East 66th Street, near Central Avenue. Neither the LAFD or the Los Angeles Police Department have released the details of the auto accident. Though, LAFD noted that when first responders arrived on the scene, two vehicles were crushed together.
After the crash
Three people were involved, and they had to extract one of the people trapped in the mesh of metal. They attempted to perform life-saving measures on one of the people involved, but that person died at the scene. Everyone else was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and their current status is unclear. As of the last report, the accident was still under investigation.
After car accidents, generally
For Los Angeles, California, residents, car accidents are just a fact of life. Though, with a little bit of pre-planning, the consequences of them can be mitigated. Invest in a dashboard camera that includes both rear and front views. If it is possible to get one that has a 360-degree view, that is even better. These little devices can be the difference between winning a case or blamed for causing an accident. It is common for negligent drivers to blame their victims, but video footage can eliminate those excuses entirely.
